Pet Food Assistance

The Food Bowl is a program designed to provide temporary
pet food assistance
to individuals who could not
otherwise afford to feed their pets due to unforeseen
financial, medical or employment hardships.

Need Pet Food?

If you or someone you know is facing the hard decision of giving up a pet due to lack of pet food, please complete our Printable Food Bowl Application. Your application is not complete until you submit your application, proof of need for assistance, photo ID and Guidelines Checklist.  Email if you have any questions or wish to submit an application.

Food Bowl applications and supporting documents should be
mailed to or dropped off at The Food Bowl, 1781 Mars Hill Rd., Watkinsville, GA 30677.

Food is distributed to approved applicants on a monthly basis. Information about food distribution will be provided to applicants once approved.

Want to Help?

Due to the high demand for food, we are in continual need of donations.  This program is only possible with the support of our generous donors.

If you would like to support the Food Bowl, you can donate unopened bags of dry dog or cat food (Purina, Pedigree or natural brands are preferred) to help maintain our supply of food. Donations can be dropped off at the Zeus House Shelter (on Mars Hill Rd. in Watkinsville) or Adoption Outreach Center (in the back of Pet Supplies Plus in Athens).

Be a Pet Food Drop-off Point

The only way we can offer this crucial program is for YOU  to assist us in helping your community.  We cannot help the needs of our community by ourselves.  We need more pet food drop-off sites.  If you have a business or know of one, they can be a drop-off point.  We need your help.
